The rules of the game

You start as a team of two and are assigned your own gondola, which accompanies you throughout the entire race. It sets the pace, keeps track of your time – and is also your biggest opponent. The gondola gets faster with every lap. For you, this means that time is running out. Whilst the first gondola ride to Scharmoin takes around 20 minutes, the fastest ride is over in just 3 minutes. By way of comparison: Jordan Williams took 2:39.2 minutes to win the 2023 World Cup. However, he didn’t have to run through the gondola hall in the valley, hang up his bike, take it down again at the start and sprint to the start gate.

If you miss your gondola, your race is over.

More information about «Last Rider Standing»

You ride together with a partner. Your team will be assigned a gondola, and this gondola will be your best friend for the duration of the race, but also your biggest opponent.

The gondola lift gets faster with every lap. For you, this means that time is getting shorter and shorter. While the first gondola ride to Scharmoin takes around 20 minutes, the fastest ride is over in around 3 minutes. For comparison: Jordan Williams needed 2:39.2 minutes for his World Cup victory in 2023. However, he didn't have to run through the gondola hall in the valley, hang up his bike and take it off again at the start and sprint to the start gate.

On all official Bike Kingdom Park tracks, shortcuts automatically lead to disqualification and a lifetime of booing in the Bike Kingdom Park. You can combine the individual sections of the track and find out for yourself which combination of sections is the fastest. If you think the gravel road is the fastest option, go ahead. Believe us, it's not.

The time is not stopped. You only have to make sure that your team enters your assigned gondola.

No, you can ride separately and also try out which is faster. You only have to climb the gondola together as a team.

Repair your bike and make it to the next gondola ride in time. Help from outsiders is not permitted. Exception: Teams that are still in the race are allowed to help.
