Swiss double victory at the U23 Cross-Country Short Track

In the second UCI World Cup race of the U23 short distance, the Swiss Ronja Blöchlinger and Dario Lillo were successful. The thrilling U23 Short Track races on Thursday evening set the course for a successful World Cup weekend in Lenzerheide. The downhill juniors were also already in action today for the qualification on the STRAIGHTline.

Second Swiss double victory in a row: Blöchlinger wins UCI Cross-Country Short Track World Cup again, Caluori in second place
In the first race of the weekend, Switzerland's Ronja Blöchlinger (LIV FACTORY RACING) managed to confirm her U23 Short Track success from Nové Město na Moravě. Second place was secured by Ginia Caluori (THÖMUS AKROS - YOUNGSTARS) in a thrilling finish ahead of Hebi Sofie Pedersen (WILIER - PIRELLI FACTORY TEAM XCO) from Denmark.

Dario Lillo victorious at home race in Lenzerheide
The second Swiss U23 winner of the day, Dario Lillo (SCOTT DAVOS MTB PROJECT), also took an unchallenged UCI Cross-Country Short Track victory, while behind him it was much closer. In the end, Nové Město winner Adrien Boichis (TRINITY RACING MTB) from France secured second place ahead of Canadian Carter Woods (GIANT FACTORY OFF-ROAD TEAM - XC).

Qualification: UCI Mountain Bike Junior World Cup
The downhill juniors were already challenged today in the Bike Kingdom Park Lenzerheide. In the women's race, Valentina Roa Sanchez from Colombia (TRANSITION FACTORY RACING) qualified fastest ahead of Erice van Leuven (COMMENCAL LES ORRES) from New Zealand. Third place went to Lisa Bouladou from France. 

In the junior category, Henri Kiefer (CANYON CLLCTV PIRELLI) of Germany secured first place. Bodhi Kuhn (TREK FACTORY RACING GRAVITY) from Canada followed in second place ahead of Lucas Lagneau (CANYON CLLCTV PIRELLI) from France.
